Mongeard-Mugneret Clos Vougeot 2015 sku_1007141 After harvestingThe wood treatment isn't shy though neither is it dominant on the very ripe yet fresh nose that exhibits notes of dark raspberry, pomegranate, warm earth and the sauvage. However it is noticeable on the dense, rich and velvet textured broad shouldered flavors that deliver fine length on the powerful if slightly less complex finale. This is a bit woody though the underlying material appears to be present to absorb it in time.
