19th Century Micromosaic Pyramid Pendant edwardian It's quite tinyA remarkable 19th century micromosaic pendant depicting, quite unusually, an ancient Egyptian pyramid. Likely a souvenir of an English aristocrat's Grand Tour, the piece dates from the first half of the 19th century, circa 1840. The micromosaic panel is mounted in red glass which is, in turn, mounted in 15 carat gold. Most of these micromosaics depict landmarks in Rome or floral arrangements or occasionally bugs; and Egyptian themed example is rare.
