1940s Diamond Tank Ring lost heirlooms Quarry workers and religious pilgrimsA retro Tank Ring dating from the 1940s. It's set with diamonds: a central old mine cut flanked by rose cuts set into two protruding half cylindrical domes. The styling of jewellery from this period was loosely influenced by the heavy war machinery of the world wars, hence the name and the bulky, angular designs (this one's definately got some sort of heavy artillery gun vibes). Aesthetically, they often also display hints of the preceding Art Deco
