We don't know much about the origin of this headboard except it came from an estate sale where the late owner owned over 40 narrow gauge locomotives and had connections with full size steam

Thompson & Co, these fine instruments were introduced in the early 1920s and is example is from this period. The give away to these early examples is the vertical Nickle plated support bar which has a ruby jewel fitted to reduce friction and the hand painted face.
