The surface is decorated with terra sigillata made with both commercial clay and foraged clays from Louisiana

Earth Tone Mug The surface motifs are rootedWheel thrown red stoneware clay mug decorated with refined clay slips called terra sigillata. I created these decorating slips from clay samples that I have foraged in different states over the years, or that were given to me by other potters. I also used slips that I made from commercially processed clays such as Redart. The green diamonds and interior are glazed. Holds 10 oz. Approximately 3. 5" tall, 3" diameter Microwave safe.
