During a girls' trip to the Maldives in October 2021, I watched as a massive wave rolled through, scattering surfers across the whitewater. Only a few managed to slip under the wave, gliding into calm water while the rest swam to the surface to retrieve their surfboards. It struck me how small and vulnerable we are amidst the vastness of the seaand I knew I had to capture that
