Meigetsu emerges in the spring with large, light green leaves. These leaves then darken to a dark green for most of the summer. Fall is when Meigetsu puts on a show. Much like other full moon Japanese maple varieties, Meigetsu has splashes of yellows, oranges, and reds across the foliage in the fall. The name Meigetsu translates to moon in Japanese. 10
