After photographing the cottonwood trees being back lit by the sunlight

the sunlight illuminates the misty prairie landscape and colors the low lying mist with an orange tone

To help me balance out the exposure of this scene I used a 2 stop neutral density filter

I crossed over the South Fork Kishwaukee River and noticed the sunlight lighting up the clouds and the prairie landscape with a remarkable and beautiful light
