Tail lamps were fitted on the last vehicle of all trains or light  engine  or engines coupled together to indicate to the signalman that the train was "complete"

Here we have a standard 12 volt trembler bell as was fitted to many signal boxes across Britain

This item is in ex loco condition and measures  6" X 1 3/4"

The case work has a superb high sheen patina and both flags swing freely.
