They comprise various components from the Georgian and Victorian eras, married together at some point in the not too distant past. The flat cut garnets date from the turn of the century, circa 1800, likely salvaged from a bracelet or necklace, while the serpents themselves (sidewinders, perhaps) are later, circa 1870 80, and set with old cut diamonds and ruby eyes.
