As always we began at the cake making it extra moreish, oh so fudgy, chocolatey and moist. We also introduced hazelnuts into the mix as a custard in between the cake layers which offsets both the chocolate and the tangy berry flavour beautifully. It's a three layered bombshell of a stack with cake, custard, compote all elevating each other. All of this gets covered
