Each mortar has been used for pounding grain and maize in the communities kitchen, before being gently restored and repaired. Each stool is hand carved by a community member from indigenous wood, with its own unique design and shape making them a one of a kind piece for your home. As the mortars have been exposed to elements and been used daily, the wood
