RA 9048 RARE EXAMPLE OF UNMODIFED G.W.R. SLOT REPEATER WITH SWITCH event this totem has been over-paintedWe have had several examples of the beautifully made Great Western Railway wood cased "slot" repeaters but none as early as this, most were up graded at the signal works over their working lige and had their wooded "bobbin" type lightning arresters replaced with carbon versions. Battery switches and internal brass thumbscrews wire connections were also replaced, this example is as original as they come and the instrument bar is also stamped G. W. R.
