I photographed this section of the creek for about an hour coming away with some beautiful images of the box elder trees and their reflection onto the creek

I looked for more subjects nearby as the colors were still strong and beautiful

The creek is a typical mid west creek

I thought it would be another beautiful and colorful sunrise so, I left the house wanting to photograph a colorful sunrise. I knew where in the park I wanted to catch the sunrise and photograph it, which was near Wildflower Lake. I reached the trailhead soon after leaving the house with camera gear in hand and it wasn't long before I started seeing the wildflowers along the lake
