It seems to have been slowly replaced by more modern, bulky designs starting in the mid 1930's and isn't really seen much after the war. It has a center catch flanked but two bicycle tool box style loop closures. It is a simple and elegant design. It is in good condition, with minimal wear around the edges and some light surface rust. It measures about 15 3 4"
