There are several original photos showing guys which appear to either be using the mosquito net as a helmet cover or simply leaving it on the helmet and tucking it up when not in use

It buttons down the front with hooks and eyes (need to be resewn as the stitching is coming loose) and a tie at the waist

US M1936 Musette Bag Hepburn Mfg. Co. 1944 tool although all these pieces cameOriginal M1936 musette bag made by Hepburn Mfg. Co. in 1944 in decent to good used condition. There is some corrosion on some of the hardware and some very small rust stains here and there. All in all, it is a rather nice example of an issued bag, not perfect, but still quite nice.
