Large Vintage 1970's Royal Staffordshire Old Pekin Plate Cutlery The firm was originally establishedThe old Pekin pattern was one of the more popular designs released by J&G Meakin under their Royal Staffordshire trade name. The pattern was released in green, brown and blue versions always upon a crisp white background. This pattern was released after J&G Meakin had been taken over by the Wedgwood Group in 1970. Other trade names, besides Royal Staffordshire, used by the firm were J&G Meakin, SOL, Vitresol, Studio Ware, Ironstone China and English
