There is even a slip of cut up magazine or newspaper that the original owner was using as a book mark

but is a bit worn

Photos of this in use by the Germans is rare but I know of at least one photo that exists and I am still trying to track down a copy

Deutsche Frauen Zeitung 1942/1943 April box There is even a slipOriginal Deutsche Frauen Zeitung Heft 10 1942 1943 April. Decent condition with some general wear and age. There is a tear on the back cover. Some general age related staining and wear around the edges. Some nice drawings of dresses, children's clothing, recipes, etc. This issue mentions the word "sparen" (save, conserve) quite a bit. These types of magazines provide a very interesting look at day to day life in the Reich.
