Edwardian British Army Royal Artillery ‘Nurses’ Gilt Belt Buckle coastal artillery 45 x 50 mmAn original and scarce 'nurses' waist belt of the Royal Artillery. Edwardian period circa 1900 1908. A two part, leaf shaped, clasp buckle. Heavy fret work, gilding, silver plated centrally mounted cannon. The buckle is affixed to a white leather belt. Golden thread overly with laurel wreath motifs. Light staining and age patina to the belt. Edge rubbing. All consistent with use. Very fine and bright gilding. Some losses to the silver plate. 63 cm
