This is very similar to the ring I made during the segment of “A Craftsman’s Legacy” on PBS a few years ago but with 18k gold granules of varying sizes in addition to the silver

I alloy the gold to 18k from 24k and form the granules as well as the domes and findings

Milky Way Crescent Posts - Sterling - Large ring a pattern made of slicesThese post earrings in the form of a large crescent are made from my Milkyway pattern with heavy granules and ingot slices. These earrings have a post and ear nut. I made the original band in Fine silver using the process of Granulation. I then made a mold of that polished granulated original, pulled some wax copies of it, then cast them using the lost wax process, and added a snap catch to the hoops! Granulation is an ancient fusing process utilized
