After hours is based on Edward Hoppers iconic, American masterpiece; Nighthawks. While this work has been executed previously by Smith during his Pioneers exhibition, this work takes Smiths artistry and development to new highs developmentally. Rather than simply mirroring Hoppers Nighthawks, Smith has attempted to deconstruct this complex masterpiece per his interpretation of the
