A 1930s Hamadan rug of herati design from north west Persia

This carpet is too heavy for standard postage

They are virtually invisible (see last two pictures) and have restored this lovely rug to usability

the rug shows a deft use of geometrical and more naturalistic styles

Soraya vintage A 1930s Hamadan rug ofA very old tribal rug of all wool construction with glossy goat hair fringes. Thin pile with overall even wear down to the base in places but the pattern is largely intact. Loss to central sections at each end. The two central medallions are surrounded by small animals and flowers with stars in alternating brown and blue in the border. A sweet piece and a real antique. 120 x 90cm
