There is some wear around the spine and some tears around the edges of the cover

Very comparable to original Dienstbrille in size

sort of like a pumice soap or more like a GoJo or similar shop soap that really scrapes the dirt off

It is in working order, but there is a little fraying on the pull cord, and it could use a cleaning. They did produce these for several years after the war also but generally those are clearly postwar marked. This one only has the pre war to war time era markings. There is a possibility it could be early post war, but there is no way to ascertain that.
