Luftwaffe Large Survival Canteen ESB 42 ostfront The bottles are empty (evaporated)Original large sized Luftwaffe survival kit canteen with handle. Aircraft would have these in their survival kit. They would have had ones for water and yellow painted ones for Benzin. This does not appear to have ever been painted yellow, so it might have been the water version, but it does smell like gasoline. Marked ESB42 on the lid. Some dents and dings, but still usable, at least for gasoline; I would not put drinking water in it.
