I was dead wrong, I find myself mid cast sliding it to control the cast more or to let it rip and sail it into the next zip code.I have used this reel in both saltwater and freshwater applications
For pike fishing, a max of 60-150g-ish (theres a lot of variance because of bait finesse rods and the sometimes very heavy hard lures involved)
Saltwater and the species which live there will of course be a bit harsher test for any reel
