I have used this reel to throw small 1/8 ounce hair jigs and was able to sling them a good distance with no issues
though many experienced HX Raptor users will argue the HX Raptor series is best suited to fishing 60lb for tuna up to 150lbs - others will fish 100lb line with confidence and target the occasional small cow 200lb class tuna with them am not saying the SE4/02, SE30 or HX Raptor series are cow reels (200lb plus) - 50lb line (or even 40lb) may be a sweeter spot for the older SE4/02 reels am suggesting, properly serviced, they are all capable 60lb class reels that i would not hesitate to bump up versus spending $1500 plus on a heavier rig i would probably never use locally actually pulling on a 175-200lb gorilla could change my opinion pretty fast
