The only drawback I think a person could find is it is heavier than some reels but personally I think a little heavier reel isn't bad most of the time cause personally it helps with the balance point on most rods and a person wouldn't notice a couple ounces more weight

A little more length will give you better casting properties and more ability to pick up line on a long cast for a strong hook set at distance

And it has become one of my favorite purchases of the 2019 season, proving to be an excellent value for the price
